Preview of the Wildflowers

Hello Sweet Friends!
Hope this post finds you enjoying your week and
planning for an even better Memorial Day Weekend!

My family and I have been praying for a year now that
our house would sell.
Well, that phone call came on Monday that we have an interested buyer.

Believe it or not, my heart sunk.
Elijah was just a couple months old when we finally moved in and Matt put his heart and soul into much of it.
So...it's bittersweet.
The next month or two will be busy for us but we're excited for the change!
I told Matty as we discussed new options
"As long as there is a room for my girlfriends and I to stamp,
I'll be happy".
Thankful for an understanding hubby!

How about a preview of a fabulous duo in the upcoming
2013-'14 Idea Book?
This card is created using the new Wildflower Meadow stamp set
I saw this on display in Fiji and loved the simplicity of it!
All the girls made it at our demonstrator Team Night this past week!
Can you see the embossing around the flowers?
It coordinates with the Wildflower Meadow Embossing Folder...how fun is that?

It's one of those big stamps so unless you want the whole stamp the same color you just flip it over and use your Stampin' Write Markers to add your specific color!
In this case I just omitted the polka dots and bird in the background.  :-)

Speaking of new Idea Books...
They are here!
If you want to reserve your copy, contact me today so I can hold yours out for you before they are gone and you have to wait for a new shipment.

There is goodies galore in it...you're going to have to grab your favorite cup of jo and plant yourself in a big puffy chair while looking through it.

June 1st...the date we can start purchasing from the new book!  :-)

Happy Thursday to you!

Oh, Hello!

My friend Jenny (another local demonstrator) and I
have agreed to swap cards with one another once a month just so we have "fun" mail to open.
I just had to share this card with you I received from her about a month ago.
Isn't it so happy?
Now, even though this flower stamp set is retired there are so many more stamp sets that you could apply this technique to.
Instead of using a ink pad, you turn your stamp over and use
Stampin' Up!'s Stampin' Write Markers.

You can apply your color to the rubber itself and create masterpieces!

The "Oh, Hello" comes from the current
Spring Catalog on page 4 from the "Oh, Hello" stamp set.
Fabulous set!

So do you have a buddy that you can send "happy" to?
Team up with a friend so you have something to look forward to in the mail each month.
It may come just on the day you really need it!
Which, by the way...Jenny, I'm working on yours for May...PROMISE!
Fiji pretty much got in the way.  ;-)

Happy Thursday to you!

Here's for the GRADUATE!

It's that time of the year again where my sisters and I host our
annual Precious Picks garage sale.
If you live local it's this Saturday, May 18th starting at 7:30am
so I'm just a tad bit busy this week pricing and prepping for the big day.
If you've been before it's no average sale...
it's HUGE and CRAZY but whoever said we were normal?
We thrive on crazy, I suppose.  :-)
So this week I'll share some ideas I received while in Fiji.
Yes, we were all in the land of paradise but STILL STAMPING!
Just call us insane and happy stampers.  :-)

Now I know many of you are looking for ideas for graduation.
I received this idea from Jan Burnett from Illinois.
How fun is this?
Thanks, Jan!
You can personalize this for your own school colors and with Stampin' Up!'s 40+ colors of cardstock you are bound to find a color that you need!

When you open it up you can add any kind of gift card that suits your graduate.

The diploma is just copy paper rolled tightly and secured with
Mini Glue Dots and wrapped with Taffeta Real Red Ribbon.

Here are the dimensions for those of you who want to duplicate:
Cut cardstock 4-1/4 x 8-1/2.
Score at 2" and 5-1/4" on the 8-1/2" side.
Easy Peasy!

Enjoy your day!

Yikes...let's Move It + Sample of Fiji

Hello Friends!
I hope you had a fabulous weekend and Mother's Day!
I was telling my aunt via text yesterday that you don't have to be a "mom" to celebrate this great day!
I've been inspired by many a women that don't share blood...they are just as influential and deserve a hug and celebration!

Remember the Pop-Up Posies Class approaching?

Well, I was so excited that I had a free Monday and wanted you all to get your hands on this kit before it went into la-la retirement land that I immediately booked it!
Well, I LOVE Memorial Day and wasn't thinking that it is the same night.
DUH!!
So, for all of you who reminded me of that
(THANK YOU, by the way), :-)
I have moved the class to Tuesday, May 28th from 6:30 - 8:30 as well as the same offering on Wednesday from 12:30 - 2:30.
Don't miss it!

Also, I've posted some fun photos from Matt's and I recent trip
to Fiji on my Facebook page.
If we aren't "friends" yet
(and we all know it doesn't take Facebook to be friends, right?)
head on over and find me to like me
(Alisha Linn-my profile photo is the back of my head shot on the beach)
and I'll "like" you back!
Here are a few of my favorites...

Hope your Monday is fabulous!

You're Invited - Pop-Up Posies Celebrations Class

In the amazing spring catalog from Stampin' Up! (on Page 18 to be exact) there is the CUTEST kit that I have seen in a long time -
Pop-Up Posies Designer Kit.

The flowers just speak happy!

Well, everyone, we only have 21 days to get our hands on the kit as well as any other items in the Spring Catalog.
(May 31st)  YIKES!

I got your back though!

I've designed a class using the kit!
You receive your own kit AND you create 6 cards...how cool is that?

Some of the designs I got directly from the catalog and others I picked up from another talented demonstrator Terri Mongeon.
Thank you, Terri, for the creativity!

Two times to choose from:
Monday, May 27th 6:30 - 8:30
or
Wednesday, May 29th 12:30 - 2:30

$15 for everything!
BUT you must RSVP by emailing me or contacting me above by Monday, May 20th!

Before heading to Fiji I was asked to contribute to a local fundraiser and thought these were perfect...

Hope you can make it...
it will be a HAPPY time!

SERIOUSLY...You Should Do It!

Hello Sweet Stamping Friends!
It's May 8th...you all know what that means?
You have 2 more days to sign up for this month's My Paper Pumpkin!
Every 10th of the month a new Paper Pumpkin is released and delivered straight to your door for a 30 minute crafting get-a-away.
For those of you who live out of town and signed up for the monthly kit I sent you a card using the stamp set but in a whole different way!
Last month was a fun one...but not necessarily my way of saying things
...I would send a card like this to fabulous friends and I LOVE the "Seriously" but I don't tell too many people that I "love your guts".  (another stamp in the kit)
I DO know some teenagers who would say that in a heart beat so you never know how you'll be able to use your kit.
Here is the sample card I sent to my out of town subscribers:
I got the idea from a fellow fabulous creative genius...Mercedes Weber.
You can check out her creativity here!
Thanks, Mercedes!

Also, on Facebook the other day I shared a Stampin' Up! post using the set in a whole different way too...make sure to check it out over at Embrace Ink!
LOVE the VARIETY and the CREATIVITY with each Paper Pumpkin!

So, don't wait and regret not receiving your kit. :-)
Go to www.mypaperpumpkin.com and sign up.
Add me as your demonstrator at the end and if you live out of town you'll receive a card from me mixing it up...if you live local we have an optional My Paper Pumpkin Night the 3rd Thursday of the month where we create together!
